We know that there is a desire for local groups to have cooking classes and many people have a desire to learn more about adopting a greener approach to living both of which we can demonstrate on site.
Education classes will be offered on cooking, gardening (both organic and heritage vegetables) to local community groups and individuals with produce grown on site.
We have a weekly gardening session open to all. Also workshops run on the uses of herbs for health. The site is also be used as a therapeutic healing space i.e. therapeutic gardening opportunities via local groups or by volunteering to support our work on site.
We have a beautiful Jasmine Bower/Pagoda which is used as a Yoga/Meditation area.
We’ll also involve ourselves in outreach work working with more vulnerable members of society, through established local groups so mental health alongside the elderly on intuitive gardening days or meditation workshops.
Our space will support a small amount of natural species and we will encourage more by the addition of for example bee and insect friendly planting we already have some in place.
This work will be supported by outreach work into relevant groups based on the above.
